Terms of Use
The rules for using OpENEM: who can use it, what applies in the community, what the app offers and what it does not guarantee.
What OpENEM is
OpENEM is a free and open-source platform to study for the ENEM (Brazil's national high school exam), with the questions from the official exams, mock exams, review and study tools. This copy of OpENEM is run by [PLACEHOLDER: name or company name of the controller], called "we" in these terms. OpENEM is not affiliated with INEP or with the Ministry of Education.
By creating an account, you state that you have read and accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
Who can use it
- Anyone who wants to prepare for the ENEM and other university entrance exams.
- Anyone under 18 uses OpENEM with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
- Children under 12 should not create an account.
- Each account belongs to a single person.
Your account
- Keep your password safe. Today the app has no password recovery, and no one on the team can see the password you chose.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account. Do not share your password.
- You can delete your account whenever you want, in Perfil (Profile), and download a copy of your data first.
Community rules
In the forum, in display names and in published themes and decks, you may not:
- offend, humiliate, threaten or stalk anyone, or post hate speech or discrimination;
- post personal data about yourself or others, such as phone number, address, ID, photo or school;
- post sexual or violent content, or content that encourages self-harm, drug use or crimes;
- spam, advertise or scam, or impersonate someone else;
- post copyrighted material without permission;
- try to game the app, such as inflating XP or the leaderboard, using someone else's account or attacking the server.
Seen something like that? Tap Denunciar (report) on the thread or reply. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. Content that violates the rights of children and adolescents is removed and, when the law requires, reported to the authorities.
What you publish
What you write remains yours. When you post in the forum, or make a color theme or a flashcard deck public, you allow it to be shown to other students inside OpENEM, with your display name. You can delete your threads and replies at any time, and when you delete your account everything you published goes with it.
The app's content
- Questions and essay topics come from INEP's official exams and are reproduced as they are.
- The classification of questions by topic and comments generated by artificial intelligence may contain mistakes. The answer key is always the official one.
- Mock exams do not predict your ENEM score.
- Recommendations, goals and schedules are study suggestions, not a guarantee of admission.
Free software
OpENEM's code is open, under the AGPL-3.0 license, and is on GitHub. These terms cover the use of this installation; the code itself follows its license.
Availability and liability
The service is free and provided as is. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but it may go offline, change or be shut down. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for exam results or for losses caused by failures or downtime. If you want to keep a copy of your work, use Baixar meus dados (download my data) in Perfil.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top shows the version in force, and sign-up records the version you accepted. Relevant changes will be announced before they take effect, [PLACEHOLDER: how the controller announces them, for example a notice in the app or an email].
